A roof replacement in Portland is rarely just shingles. Older homes have undersized rafters, sagging ridges, two or three layers of old roofing and attics with no ventilation. Gutters undersized for our rainfall dump water at the foundation. We look at the whole system: structure, sheathing, ventilation, flashing, gutters and where the downspouts actually go.

Do you do roofs on their own, or only with remodels?
Both. Many of our roofs are part of an addition or remodel, but we take on standalone replacements, especially older homes and storm damage.
Can you help with an insurance claim?
Yes. We tarp and secure first, then produce a written scope the adjuster can work from; the SW Portland tree-strike repair on our Projects page started that way.
What about the gutters?
We replace gutters with the roof by default, and scope the rain drains too: a new roof feeding a broken drain line just moves the water into your basement.
Metal or composition?
Composition costs less and is what most Portland neighborhoods expect. Metal lasts longer and sheds moss and needles better on treed lots. We price both when it is a real choice.
