Accessibility Statement

Portland Project wants everyone to be able to read about our work and start a project with us, regardless of ability or the technology they use. This site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we've done

• Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip link so screen-reader and keyboard users can move through each page.
• Every control is reachable by keyboard with a visible focus indicator, and touch targets are at least 44 pixels.
• Text and interface colors meet contrast minimums; type scales with your browser settings.
• Images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Forms have visible labels, clear error messages announced to assistive technology, and work without JavaScript.
• Motion is limited to subtle reveals and is disabled entirely when your system requests reduced motion.

Known limitations

The optional address-suggestion control on our project form is provided by Google Maps Platform; if it does not work with your assistive technology, the standard address fields beneath it accept typed input. Embedded third-party content such as 3D tours may not meet the same standard as our own pages, so we always provide the same information in text nearby.
